Concerts

Richard has appeared with the Berlin Philharmonic, Cincinnati Symphony, Royal Philharmonic, Scottish National Orchestra, Netherlands Radio Symphony, the Hallé, Taiwan Philharmonic, Macao Symphony, and other leading orchestras.

In addition to the standard bass concert repertoire, Richard has performed contemporary works, such as the role of the Polar Bear in Segal's The Pictures of Life, and appeared as a narrator in Walton's Façade and Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf.

In August 2025, he was the basso profondo soloist in Taverner’s The Veil of the Temple, which was the opening concert of the Edinburgh International Festival.
